ReMapp is a mobile application that is used to load, view, and use maps that can be created by anyone -- including you!
Maps can be created with the companion web application, found at fyrot.github.io/remapp.
(See "How To Use This Website" for more details)The basic user interface consists of three screens:-Map: Here, you can select a start destination and an end destination (whether it be typed or through auto-completing from a list).
Now, you can tap the "Select Map" to be navigated to the "Preview" screen, which now has a sketched path for you to follow.
Holding the "Select Map" button will allow you to see a list of simple instructions on how to reach your destination.
-Preview: This screen allows you to view the an enlarged version of the selected map similar to the scale of your screen.
This view can also include a visual representation of the path you may have to take if you have previously inputted start and destination points and saved the final directions on the Map screen.
-Settings: Here, you can add and remove maps.
To add maps, either type in its ID (if it is a publicly available map) or simply paste the map data into the second text field.
To remove maps, you can select the ones to remove from a screen reached by interacting with the "Remove Maps" button (A restart of the app is recommended to save these changes effectively).
Finally, there are also two settings you can toggle: "Dark Mode" and "Military Time." Toggling dark mode will change the overall appearance of the app, whereas military time will provide an alternative, more-precise pair of directions by utilizing the hands of a clock to provide a much more accurate depiction of angles and turns.
